✨ANAÏS GAUDEMARD WILL PREMIERE THE DEFINITIVE SOLO HARP VERSION OF NEANDERTHAL TIME ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 AT BOZAR IN BRUSSELS

It is an immense privilege to write music for extraordinary soloists.
✨On September 12, at Bozar in Brussels, during the Journées Émergences 2026, Anaïs Gaudemard will premiere the definitive solo harp version of Neanderthal Time. 🎶
✨Originally commissioned by the brilliant Ensemble Ars Nova, Neanderthal Time was first written in 2025 for harp and string quintet. Its world premiere was given by the outstanding young harpist Jenna Vergeynst with musicians of Ensemble Ars Nova, under the direction of Rémi Durupt.
✨I have the deepest admiration for Anaïs—not only for her breathtaking virtuosity, but also for her rare musical sensitivity, intelligence, and artistic vision. Widely recognized as one of the leading harpists of her generation, she has performed with major orchestras and renowned conductors around the world while continuously expanding the harp repertoire through her passion for new music and her close collaborations with contemporary composers.

✨Her exceptional artistry has also been recognized by the Institut de France, which recently awarded her the Tissier-Grandpierre Prize in recognition of her outstanding career. To know that Neanderthal Time will come to life through her artistry is both an honor and a joy. I cannot wait to hear this new chapter unfold in Brussels.
🍀 Thank you, Anaïs, for your trust, your inspiration, and your remarkable musicianship.
