PICTURES: FRENCH COMPOSER REGIS CAMPO AS FEATURED COMPOSER IN REHEARSAL - CAMBRIDGE SUZUKI YOUNG MUSICIANS SUMMER WORKSHOPS 2018

In 2018 and 2019 French composer Régis Campo was our featured composer. I programmed a number of his works, and as in recent years, the students played alongside the staff in the chamber music pieces. Thus, the students  have an excellent model of playing, and rehearsal techniques, from the artists they play alongside. The students learn different things from each composer about their musical world, and how they hear and think about music, and the creative process. In the case of “Dove Sono...?”,  for violin, flute, piano, and cello the composer re-composed some of the violin part on the spot. Here are a few pictures of Régis Campo in rehearsal:
