Sa mère est ingénieure en informatique, son père entraineur sportif. Mais il y avait un vieux piano droit dans un coin du salon et il a commencé à en jouer dès qu’il a été en âge d’atteindre les touches. Alors qu'il avait 6 ans et vivait à Tchernihiv, dans le nord de l'Ukraine, sa mère l'a emmené écouter une interprétation du 1er concerto pour piano de Tchaïkovski. Après le concert, le bambin annonce à ses parents qu'il voulait devenir pianiste quand il serait grand. Il prend d'abord des cours de chant, commence le piano à 9 ans et donne son premier concert à 12 ans sur la scène de la Philharmonie nationale à Kiev !

Illia Ovcharenko vit aujourd’hui en Allemagne à Hanovre, où il finalise ses études avec l'éminent pédagogue Arie Vardi (professeur de Beatrice Rana, Dmitri Shishkin, Martin Helmchen, Yundi Li...). A 23 ans, c'est déjà un pianiste accompli à la forte personnalité et au talent rayonnant. Il est notamment lauréat du Concours Piano Campus 2018 et du Concours International de Honens (Canada) 2022. Co-organisé par les Pianissimes et le Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise, ce concert marque la sortie du premier CD de l'artiste sur le label DiscAuvers. Il sera suivi d'un after où vous pourrez rencontrer Illia, qui dédicacera ses disques.

Here is Starry Night for piano by the composer Régis Campo who wrote it for a premiere at the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival performed by the Turkish pianist Fazil Say, for whom this piece is dedicated. The festival commissioned the composer to write this piece and the premiere took place on June 29, 2022 in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Auvers-sur-Oise (Val d'Oise).

Voici Starry Night pour piano du compositeur Régis Campo qui l'a écrite pour une création au Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise interprétée par le pianiste turc Fazil Say, pour lequel cette pièce est dédiée. Le festival en avait fait la commande auprès du compositeur et la création a eu lieu le 29 juin 2022 dans l'Église Notre-Dame de l'Assomption à Auvers-sur-Oise (Val d'Oise).
